To keep things fair, you only get 1 entry, even if you have both an FC room and a personal house. When showing us your entry, let us know where your house is if you're using a house! That way people can go in and look for themselves. :D

This time around the prizes are largely going to be focused around furnishings. There's no gil prize this time, but there's a huge list of possible prizes. Because the prizes are so open, for most items I'm basing it on the most expensive material in the synth and grouping up similar items. So carbuncle rug is 2 jute thread to me.

If there's other prizes you want to see added, feel free to ask for them to be included. I easily could have overlooked a prize. I might have to turn down some things because of the cost or rarity (Throne from ST comes to mind), but it doesn't hurt at all to ask!

Surprise! Second contest!
Don't have an FC room? Didn't really feel like cleaning the place up to make it picture perfect? Here's a second contest for those of you that just want to crash somebody else's place! Take pictures of yourself in other people's homes or rooms! Break in and take selfies, get permission and have a party - have fun with it!

I wanted a way for people without rooms or houses to participate too. You only get one entry here and you cannot be in both contests. The prize pool is shared, though!

Housing Entry:
I decided to use my FC room. My personal house is still being worked on, but the room is pretty much done. It's restaurant themed. I said I wanted food furnishings and when they released them, I based my room around it.


A nice (although not-tub) cake and multi-course lunch. A big fireplace in the background for people to enjoy. A stuffed marlin in the background, caught it myself!


Demon Wall's kinda small cousin was looking for a job. He's a great piano player, let's people sit on his piano! :D He doesn't sleep, so there's always live music!


The small kitchen for the restaurant. The cook there doesn't sleep either, but mostly out of fear of the demon wall. :D She has plenty of materials to cook with though, thanks to the big chest and the cabinets.


And closing out with a wide shot of the door. On the left there's the other table, with some tea and cookies on one end, and a big dinner on the other.

Personal Room: La Maison de Haricot
Location: Room #5, Plot 30, 3rd Ward, Mist

When we still had RP'ers in the FC, I'd decided that my personal room would reflect how RP!Midori would decorate rather than Real!Midori. You're probably wondering how those would differ. Let me show you :D

My headcanon for RP!Midori is that she can be very serious, but also very eccentric, which is reflected in her choice of chocobo wallpaper and flooring. She loves them both and wouldn't change (unless they put out qiqirn-themed walls and floors.) The Bombard (ceiling) Lamp was chosen because its colors matched the wall and floors. Decorating is srs bznz!



While Real!Midori would rather flip a table than craft, RP!Midori possesses moderate skill in practical crafts to support her livelihood. See: She can repair her gear, make lures, etc. Since I couldn't create a work table for more delicate disciplines like fly tying, I decorated this table with papers, maps, and some tea to keep RP!Midori's mind going as she researches her next big catch!



A desk isn't quite big enough for how RP!Midori spreads out while working, so she uses it as a place to eat and relax. A cute qiqirn plush reminds her of home and a summoning bell will fetch her retainers promptly if she should need something. The bulletins stuck to the wall are reminders, since she often has many things on her plate (no pun intended) at once!



This next picture reflects two aspects of RP!Midori's life that I'd like to point out.

The first is that she's actually quite well read, but more than that she keeps journals of what she's learned while exploring Eorzea. The books in this case are her journals from before Dalamud's fall. When that happened the coastlines were rend, Bronze Lake drained, and everything she knew about fishing changed. Rather than discard the journals she's stored them here. (Current day journals are kept in the bookcase behind her desk.)

The other aspect of this picture is the bed. Why does RP!Midori have two beds in her personal room? One is for Midori and one is for Serket Ring, who just comes in and sleeps wherever she wants, whenever she wants. Midori has accepted this fact and installed a second bed.



No room would be complete without RP!Midori's prized fish trophies mounted to the wall. Those were hard fought battles and go a long way towards advertising her skill as a master fisher.

Housing Contest


Takeshi set out to establish a house to benefit the refugees of the Ala Mihgans and Domans. A place for the rich of Uldah to gather in secret…. for a "small" fee paid to the door woman (Who is more than equipped to deal with anyone disgruntled at the price of entry). Unbeknownst to them, all of the gil goes to the refugee groups to help rebuild and reclaim.


They are provided a safe place to park their steeds or carriages while inside, no need to worry about thugs when hiding in the shadows when it is lit by the very soul of Titan himself.


Inside, they are "encouraged" by the bouncer to buy souvenirs and goods during their stay…


Before descending down the stairs to take care of business.


Down stairs is a soothing and calming environment with soft lighting and a waterfall, with a hint of Ahriman to keep them a little on edge, can't be too comfortable now, can they?!


Comfortable seating arranged around wine and fruit…


With a kitchen providing food to the patrons continuously without being asked….then the bill is presented at the end.

My entry in the housing contest! I reside in the FC house.



Ever since my retainer brought me a Tonberry bed in October, I thought I'd revolve my room's theme around that, while focusing more on the colors than the Tonberry furniture itself, so lots of green and red, with hints of yellow.



The sitting area is lush with greenery, creating an inviting, fresh spot for people to get off their feet.



But don't wander too far back into the private little bedroom area. You may be greeted with a "special" kind of hospitality.



But why would you want to go back there when such a lovely, candlelit meal awaits at such a… *gulp* charming(?) table?



"Just don't try and play footsie with me and we'll be fine."



If you sneak past the scary little Tonberry, a modestly furnished bedroom awaits, with a dresser, bookshelf, nightstands, and dressing stool.



A small desk offers a nice respite with tea and snacks. And that pretty much concludes the tour!

Welcome to my cozy little beach house in Eorzea!



With my new Riviera Garden Table I can host the best get together's. (Timed this shot right after the rain I had NEVER seen the rainbow before!)



If you couldn't tell from Bean's post about prizes I am the biggest supporter of #StopTonBullying2015. How can you not think these little guys are cute!



Of course I have ample room for social get togethers upstairs. I love having tea and cake at the ready for my guests as well as books for reading, I display seasonal items and the like on the larger table in back,



The downstairs I wanted to theme like a guest beach house. That way any FC member could come have a little vacation at the mist with me if they liked,



And no beach house is of course without the fountain hut tub.
