Second contest is the spoooooooooooky Halloween contest. Put together your creepiest gear and go scare some people! Or find some terrifying monster and show it how horrible you'd taste as you quiver in fear. So long as you can find a way to make it seem spooky, it fits!

Prizes are being handed out differently this time around. I didn't like the lack of options people got, so this time I went with a ton of options. But- top voted people get to pick first and get to pick more, so do your best!

Prizes will be handed out in this order:
Top voted person of General Contest picks 3 prizes and gets 400,000 gil.
Top voted person of Halloween Contest picks 3 prizes and gets 400,000 gil.
Second place of General Contest picks 2 prizes and gets 210,000 gil.
Second place of Halloween Contest picks 2 prizes and gets 210,000 gil.
Third place of General Contest picks 2 prizes and gets 210,000 gil.

Bonus Ranks!
The more people that enter each contest, the more people I'll hand prizes out to! They'll be #7-10 in the ranking and while they don't get gil, they do get an item prize from the list!

If 12 separate people enter a contest, #7 gets unlocked for that contest.
14 for #8, 16 for #9, and 18 for #10.

You cannot win 1st place in both contests. If the same person gets enough votes to be first place in both, they'll be considered #1 in the General Contest and #2 in Halloween Contest. However, the gil prize will still be 400,000 for that player, and the person bumped up to #1 of Halloween will get 210,000 gil. This is to keep one person from sweeping all the prizes and try to spread things out some.

Voting has changed from last time too! º-º)!
Everybody will be voting on each entry per contest, then the votes per person will be counted up by me. So the more entries you have (up to the limit) the more potential votes you get.

This change is happening because the old system of voting had some limitations, which brings me to…

Group Entries! You guys can team up for entries!

Although there still is a maximum number of entries you can be in per contest, I'm curious to see what groups can come up with. You can be included in a group entry once without it counting against your maximum number of entries. The person that posts it gets to say who is in the entry.

The free extra entry only works once right now, so you can have 4 general contest and 2 Halloween contest entries, or 3 and 3. If you're in more than one group entry and you've posted up to your limit of other entries, you'll have to say which group entry you want to be a part of as your freebie. If you don't post which one, I'll pick one. Entries with more than one person will count for each person in the entry when voted on.

More Rules (bolded new or changed rules from last time):

• If you're a member of OE, you're able to enter until the submission date is up!
• Officers can't win prizes. v'-')v
• Emotes, actions, stories, NPCs, and interesting backgrounds are encouraged. Whatever you think will win the popular vote!
• Your prize is yours to do whatever with - Wear it, dye it colibri pink and give it to a friend, you can even sell it - I'd prefer you didn't, but I'm not going to hound anybody about it.
• Multiple screenshots of the same outfit is fine.
• Maximum of three no-theme entries and 2 themed entries, please!
  
  • With exception of being in a group picture, then you get 1 free extra entry.
• As mentioned above: You cannot win 1st place in both contests! D: This is to let other people get a shot at prizes.
• For ties I'll be making some guildworks polls and have the voting period be 24-48 hours (to be decided). If that ties, I'll flip a coin/roll a virtual die.
• I won't be enforcing the themed entries this time, but I ask that you vote base on the theme. We'll see how it plays out like this for the first time. :o
• When you post an entry, say which contest it's for!
• Also give your entries a title! Not mandatory - but if you don't give it one you're up to whatever I happen to title it. Since the titles will be used for the voting polls, you might not want that!

I try to chat this up, but I really want to emphasize how y'all have contributed to making these prizes do-able. The gil comes from Treasure Hunts and selling items gotten from them. A lot of folks donate maps to Treasure Hunts and come each week to use them. We really appreciate it 'cause it allows us to do things like this!

We also had several folks donate Oaknots, Myth materials, and shard/crystal/clusters for crafting prizes. So a shout out to Raz, Lain, Snap, and Kismar for going the extra mile on that. Thanks, Mai, for growing the Minions!

It's scare or be scared this time of year- as I always imagined people would possibly say! I figured it was time to haunt Halicarnassus for all the people she's tortured and killed! :E



Got a group of ghosts together, and off we went!

We started small at first.



Haunting random rooms, you don't just break down the door and start mauling everything as a ghost, you got to be subtle.



Not even the staff room (or maybe dungeon, this place is weird) escaped! Going to spook them all!

After haunting the manor for a while we decided that Halicarnassus was probably shivering in her leather bondage outfit (succubi are weird too).





Uh. That didn't go as planned.



She ain't afraid of no ghost. D:



Enough of the haunting, time for some ghostly violence!

Side note: When the game says ilevel 48 minimum, they assume you won't be an idiot and wear level 1 armor with level 100-110 accessories. >_>

General Contest Entry #1: Touch of Frost (Sigrun)

Looking down the barrel of 2.4, I suppose you could say this particular outfit is Shiva inspired (though probably FFX-Shiva in truth).



With such inspiration, an ice field seemed the only appropriate place for a photoshoot.



Of course, if you hang around in the cold in barely anything for too long, strange things start to happen. Such as gaining the the compulsion to yell, "I WILL COVER THE WORLD IN ICE!" at the trees.



And then you find yourself spamming Diamond Dust…

Okay, so, as soon as I saw this ridiculous face thing, either you have to be the Terminator or Kano, so I chose Kano, because it's the most out of character for me. e.ea
