General Contest Entry #2: Dark Edged Edvya (Sigrun)

This was actually my entry in the Glamour Us contest if anyone remembers. The basics are: MUCH PINK, SO PINK.



Actually, it's based off little Edvya here, although I chose to flip the edging colours. Where her robe is edged in white, I've got dark highlights, where the strips on her skirts are pale, I have dark grey. And you wouldn't believe how much time and experimentation it took to get the dye colours matching her.



I was trying to get the accessories/hair to match up though. With the pink and gold in the hair and circlet mirroring her hood and crown, and the earrings representing the blossoms that come along with Little Ladies Day, and the flowers on her sleeves.



I don't have a fan though. This makes me very sad. FANS FOR WEAPONS IN 2.5!!!

Does the scary / Halloween contest entry have to be scary / creepy / spooky / etc.?

No, but try to stay within a Halloween theme. The holiday covers quite a range from Hellraiser to Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin. It's all within the theme, so feel free to be creative :D

Oh, and if my entry didn't make it obvious, Photoshopping is totally okay!

Also, I wanted to remind that if you need help with your entry, let us know. If you need extras for a picture, ask! If you need armor, dye, glamours crafted, we can arrange it. General Contest - Entry #1: Knight of Ishgard (?)

While information out of Ishgard is scarce, ill tidings surrounding the Holy See motivated me to pay a visit to my ally Ser Alberic at the Observatorium in Coerthas. There I explained that I wished to infiltrate the city to investigate these dark rumors but in order to do so I required his aid in procuring a set of Templar’s mail.



Sensing that my cause was just, Alberic agreed to assist my endeavor and I was readied in the same armor worn by the knights of Ishgard in their ceaseless fight against the Dravanian horde.



I was carried swiftly by chocobo to the Gates of Judgement, where my plan was to feign an urgent return. However, my hopes were dashed as I had somehow aroused the suspicion of the gate keeper, Ser Marcelain. I was promptly halted and met with curses and threats of gaoling, throat slitting, decapitation, and such. I was not so kindly informed that even a blind bateleur could tell that I was not a knight of Ishgard and that if it were not for my recent participation in the operation to retake Stone Vigil that he would be of the mind to toss me off Witchdrop himself. Damn! I was so close. I could see the Steps of Faith beyond the gate but decided that the wisest course of action would be to withdraw rather than incur any further wrath from the keeper of the Gates of Judgement.



Reflecting on my failure to gain entrance to the Holy See of Ishgard has simply strengthened my resolve to find a way inside. Hmmm… an airship perhaps? I guess we will just have to wait and see!

General Contest Entry #1: Pumpkin Spice

Was getting groceries today, saw a striped pumpkin and got inspired! Thought my first general entry would be fall-related.

Voorhees headed to the Botanist guild to celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of the Fall Harvest in a Pumpkin Spice outfit.



Apologies for being so zoomed out–I'm pretty big. It's hard to fit me in a close-up.

Here you can see Voorhees sporting a fluffy striped Hempen Acton, of which the sleeves bring to mind the curvaceous exterior of the delicious fruit of fall (and signature spice of the White Girl). Her Striped Cotton Slops subtly nod to its striped exterior, with the green boots acting as the stems. Top it with the masked Poacher's Hat for that final bit of fall flare, and you've got yourself one fall-riffic set of armor!



Voorhees gives you a closer look at her pumpkin-colored ring, sun-kissed cheeks and hint of green and auburn to her new haircut. The Cactuar earring hints that Pumpkin isn't the only thing she's a fan of eating.
