I'm going to take my first stab at non-forum contests with this. I'm going to go to a zone and hide, then let people know to try to find me. First person to trade me gets first pick of the prizes I'm offering.

Prizes! - It's a lot of excess prizes from previous contests, or things I gathered that I feel might be better prizes before the expansion hits.

  • Ti Leaf Lei + Red Summer Maro (red male swimsuit with flowers)
  • Coronal Summer Halter + Red Summer Pareo (red female swimsuit with flowers)
  • 2 Highland Smocks
  • Glowing Ifrit Weapon (NQ) - Not made yet, so you pick the weapon!
  • Glowing Garuda Weapon (NQ) - You pick which weapon!
  • Glowing Titan Weapon (NQ) - You pick which weapon!
  • Chocobo Onion (honestly, less relevant since Lain is growing like crazy)
  • Full Set of Manor Music Furnishings
  • 3 Dead Man's Chest(s)
  • Guildleve Counter
  • Kotatsu Table
  • 3 Fat Catz
  • Bluebird
  • Littlefoot Minion
  • Tonberry Minion
  • Like a million Onion Princes oh god somebody take them.

*Only one glowy weapon per person, let's spread the glow!
*You can't get a bluebird AND a fat cat, we're spreading minion love out too! (You can get bird/cat + primal weapon though).

You get one prize per time you find me, you can win multiple times though. :D I want my inventory space back!

How it works:

I'll let people know about an hour in advance that I'm going to do it - that way people have time to get out of dungeons if they want to go. :D

Then I'll take a handful of prizes with me per zone and go until I run out of prizes for that zone or until I feel like I've been there too long. If people are too slow to find me I'll start dropping hints - I don't want people out there looking for me too long, and some of these zones are HUGE!

Here's one hint that will carry over to every zone - I will not be anywhere where I can be aggroed as a level 50. I won't use stealth either. I don't want enemies attacking people to cancel trades.

Some of the prizes will be more like IOUs. I'm going to make the the Garuda, Ifrit, and Titan weapons after I'm done in a zone, and the magitek bit and magic broom minions will be made after I'm done in the zone too. Everything else will be handed out, completed.

I'm planning on doing the first wave of it tonight, sometime in the evening. It depends on when I wake up. :V

I'm not sure, honestly. I was going to do one today (Saturday) but I ended up sleeping all day. I also wanted to do one Sunday, but my schedule that day might be a bit weird. I'm going to have to get creative with napping tomorrow because I have a plumber coming over. :/

Looking at what I have left, I only have enough for two more runs.

2 fat catz

1 garuda weapon
1 ifrit weapon
2 dead man's chests
1 guildleve counter
1 highland smock
Bunch of magitek bit / magic brooms.

I think I'm going to try to schedule the next one friday night, sometime around or after 7PM pacific time, and another one on saturday afternoon or night.

Sorry about that, the friday night one didn't happen. I migraine-slept my way straight through 7PM. And 11PM…

I want to do 2 more hide and go seek things. I'll do one in the afternoon-ish time (3PMish pacific), and one later at night (8PM pacific). I should be able to do the afternoon one Saturday, and I'll try to do the later at night one the same day.

I was gone all day Friday anyways… and I totally could not see your post from a week ago for some reason (though I *know* I've been refreshing the forum since then).

Going to do the last round tomorrow night - I napped at the desk until 40 minutes past that point and with maintenance possibly interfering with people after I got started I didn't want to do it right after I woke up.

I'm going to shoot for the same time sunday night to get the same crowd.
